Name: Julie Clare FIDM MCIPR

Position: Managing Director

Profile:

Julie's idea for Clear started when she was on her way back to London by train from Birmingham, where she had experienced a number of advertising and PR agencies whilst studying Communication Studies.

"I wanted to create an agency that had clear values of openness, transparency, simplicity and directness - values that seemed to be missing in many agencies in the mid 1980s.  I also knew that I needed to learn as much as possible before I could turn Clear from a dream into reality."

It took a few years in London during which Julie gained experience in marketing at Centaur, publishers of Marketing Week, where she set up the Centaur Direct Marketing list and data division and helped launch Precision Marketing.

She was then headhunted to head up subsidiaries of leading direct marketing company Dudley Jenkins Plc (now part of Wegener) and international media agency CIA Direct before setting up Clear just as the recession started in the early 90s.

Julie oversees all Clear's client accounts to ensure that the Clear values are being maintained and keeps up to date with industry changes through being a Fellow of the IDM, a member of the CIPR and CIM and Vice Chairman of ABBA - the Association of Business to Business Agencies. She is also a member of the Institute of Directors and has recently become a committee member of CAPSIG - the CIPR's construction and property special interest group.

Having embraced B2B social networking with the usual enthusiasm she throws at everything she does, Julie would be delighted if you would link up to her at LinkedIn.
